I love Chicken Marsala. It is one of my favorite Italian dishes. Its made with Marsala Wine which you get at the grocery store and it has such a unique flavor. So delicious. My sister Kim was the one who made me it first and not I cant get enough of it! I make it a lot for dinner and serve it on top of your choice of pasta and with a yummy salad. I hope you guys enjoy it!
Here’s what you’ll need…
3 Chicken breasts-sliced in half and pounded to make 6 even pieces
Salt and Pepper
1 1/2 cup of Marsala wine
1 1/2 cup of chicken broth
1 cup of lemon juice
1 package of mushrooms
First slice your chicken breasts in half and pound so that all chicken will cook evenly. Mix 1/4 tbs of pepper, 1/4 tbs of salt, and 1 cup of flour. I also season the chicken a little before putting in the flour mixture as well. it give it more flavor
Coat chicken with seasoned flour.
In a large skillet heat 1 Tbs of olive oil and brown the chicken on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Add to the skillet your Marsala wine( stir until wine is heated) then your chicken broth, lemon juice, and mushrooms. Cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat until sauce has reduced. I also add 1/2 tbs of flour to the sauce if it hasn’t thickened very well.
I will now cook my pasta while this cooks.
Return chicken and cook with a cover on it for another 10-15 minutes.
Serve over pasta of your choice.
