Fresh Mozzarella and Basil Pizza

This is such a simple pizza but is so good!!! Some people will call it a Margarita pizza as well, I just didn’t add big slices of tomatoes, but you can if you would like. The Fresh Mozzarella is so delicious and just melts in your mouth. Th fresh Basil really brings out the flavors in the sauce and the cheese! It is just wonderful!!! I also have made these into little individual pizza as little bite sized appetizers and they went super fast. I put one piece of basil and mozzarella on each mini pizza.

Here’s what you’ll need….

1 package of pre-made pizza dough
1 can of tomato sauce (check for my recipe) or pizza sauce
1 package of fresh Mozzarella
1 package of fresh basil
1 Tbs of Fresh Garlic

I have also made these pizzas on whole wheat tortillas or Flat Outs!!! Just as good!!!!

First you will need to Roll out your dough to the thickness that you would like. I like this pizza to be very thin. Also pre heat your oven to 425 degrees. You can cook this on a pizza brick or a cookie sheet. You might want to spray it before hand.

Next slice up your cheese and pre pare your basil into pieces. You can either slice the basil or keep them whole. Slice tomatoes thin if you would like them on there.

Now add your tomato or pizza sauce to the dough. I will add in the TBS of garlic all over the pizza as well. This gives it so much flavor.

Now add your Basil over the top of the sauce. You would also add your tomatoes now if you would like. Top it off with fresh Mozzarella!

Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on the crust and the cheese has melted.

Slice and Enjoy!!!!
