I love Glazed Pineapple with any sort of pork or ham… It juts makes it taste so much better when paired with those. This is great to go with My pork tenderloin recipe, because it has an Asian flare that goes perfect with this pineapple. I have done grilled pineapple with my teriyaki chicken sandwiches but this one is a little different because it is more of a side then on top of something. Believe me you will want to make this again and again. It is also great on top of some VANILLA BEAN ICE CREAM! Have fun with this recipe, I am sure you will think of plenty of things to pare this with….
Here’s what you’ll need…
1 large pineapple
3-4 tbs of brown sugar
grill or griddle
First you will want to slice up your pineapple.
I leave the middles in because it is easier to slice it at the end, but do what you want.
Place on a plate and pat the pineapple with brown sugar. Drizzle with about 1/2 teaspoon of syrup on each. You can eye this.
Place down on grill, or griddle on medium to high heat.
Now pour brown sugar and drizzle the syrup on the other side of the pineapple.
Cook about 4 minutes on both sides… You can make some beautiful grill marks on these, but my new Cuisinart griddle did not.
Take off and sprinkle a little more brown sugar on top, this will dissolve. Slice into squares, around the pit, and serve….
