Homemade Granola Bars

Homemade Granola bars
Look out Quaker chewy bars! I know your secret! Yummy in my tummy. 
Here is a great recipe for granola bars. My favorite part about granola bars is that you can make them in so many ways as long as you have your simple base and then add in all different kinds of mix-ins! These are perfect for snacks or to put in for kids lunches. 

I made chocolate coconut almond granola bars but you may add whatever else you want in them!

3 cups oatmeal
1 cup slivered almonds
1 cup shredded coconut
3 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk (This is what makes them stick together!)
2 Tbsp melted butter
1-2 cups of your favorite add-ins (chocolate chips,whit chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butterscotch, raisins, whole nuts, marshmallows IM THINKING SMORES BARS, dried fruit, cranberries, and whatever else your little heart desires!)
I did Mini Chocolate chips! 

The first thing I did was grease my pan and pre-heat my oven to 350. These will cook for about 20-25 minutes.

Next I put in my mixer all the dry ingredients. Granola, almonds, mini chocolate chips, and what ever else you want for your mix-ins.

Next I added the melted butter, coconut, and brown sugar.
Now add your sweetened condensed milk and start mixing with a spoon by HAND.

Now place all your ingredients in a pan and spread it out evenly. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes depending on if you like them chewy or a little bit crispy. :)
