Homemade Pancakes

I love pancakes and it use to be if you didn’t have the pancake mix, then you weren’t having pancakes. Well not any more people!!! This is a very easy recipe to make pancakes from scratch that are super easy and most people have all of these ingredients at home. I also add 1 tsp of Vanilla for a little sweetness and it helps fluff up the pancakes. Enjoy!

Here’s what you’ll need…

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon of VANILLA
First, In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. 
Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth and creamy. Yumm

 After you mix it add your Vanilla…

Heat a lightly oiled or spray butter in my case-(0 Calories) griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. 
Brown on both sides and serve hot. I place a little powdered sugar and warm Syrup on mine! Enjoy
