Tomato Mozzarella with Balsamic

Such an easy thing to make but some people really ask what it is so I thought I would put it on here for them. This is one of my favorite snacks or appetizer to have before an Italian meal or in the summer when you pick these ingredients fresh from the garden! Fresh Mozzarella, Basil, and tomatoes— what could be better? Maybe the Baguette… he he 

Here’s what you’ll need…
You can always make more of these for a larger party..

1/2 bunch of Fresh Basil
2 large beef steak tomatoes
1 package of Fresh Mozzarella
Olive oil
Balsamic vinaigrette 
Salt and Pepper to taste
Baguette- optional 

You can also make these into a smaller tomato by using tomatoes on the vine like the second picture above…I like to make smaller ones for when I have a lot of guests…

First wash all your ingredients and slice up your tomatoes to about 1/3 inch thick. Place on a plate and sprinkle with Salt and pepper

Take your Olive oil and Balsamic and pour on top of your tomatoes. You should but a little more balsamic then oil. I like to put about 1/2 inch of the mixture on the bottom because it soaks through the tomatoes and is also great to dip your bread in it. 

Take your basil pieces and place on top of the tomatoes. No need to slice them up, placing whole is better.
Now slice your cheese and place on top of the basil. 

You can add a little more balsamic on the top of these cheese if you would like… THATS WHAT I DO!!!!

Slice up your baguette and leave next to tomatoes. Place tomato on top of bread or dip bread in the pil mixture. Delicious!
